You might say that I've mastered my body butter and beard balm making. I'll need to check back in with my family and friends just to confirm. You loyal readers know I've been handing out these bad boys as Christmas gifts for the past few years.

I'm pretty particular about my beauty care product scents. Read: this is why essential oils are everything. To learn about their properties, what works well together, what's more of a masculine scent versus feminine has become the biggest part of the process. Apparently, cedarwood can smell like peanut butter when used in beard balm? Who knew.

While I've experimented quite a bit with my essential oils, lavender and lemongrass have always been staples. For my latest concoction, I went in full Christmas mode and incorporated peppermint, rosemary, and eucalyptus oils. I'd say the only downside is that I didn't make any body butter for myself. Sigh.
